September 18 - Ding Dong

Share Article:

It’s been a very busy month for the FD team – so busy, in fact, that our September ding dong is making its debut in mid-October! From exciting new launches to Guinness World Records, there hasn’t been a dull moment here at Front Door HQ and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop any time soon.

Here’s a round-up of our highlights from the past few weeks:

Topping off the list, we are over the moon for lovely clients Solar Buddies, who won Entrepreneur of the Year at the South Wales Argus Business Awards 2018.

It’s been an amazing year for Kelli and Laura, the founders of roll-on sunscreen applicator Solar Buddies, who have been featured on national television as part of Channel 4’s Buy It Now, released brand new pink and blue products which are flying off the shelves, and are now the recipients of a prestigious new business accolade. Congratulations to our joint Entrepreneurs of the Year!

Digital student marketplace Paperclip has been enjoying some national coverage this month to coincide with fresher’s fortnight – the time when 18 year olds everywhere are desperately shopping for textbooks, kitchen equipment and fancy dress costumes galore. The handy Paperclip app was featured in the Daily Express and the Metro this September to give students a heads up on where to get the best bang for their buck.

In tech news, we’re very excited to have announced the launch of a new app this month, Clubetter - a fully bilingual club membership portal which allows grassroots clubs, societies and communities to communicate and work together.

The app has been created by Caerphilly-based tech company Datris, whose directors were frustrated at the lack of innovation to make life easier for those volunteers and staff running local clubs, and so decided to do something about it! You can read more about the launch in Business News Wales here.

As well as welcoming Datris into the Front Door fold, we’re also chuffed to have new clients Bouygues UK and Quote the Market on board this month. It’s been a busy few weeks for new business and with so many amazing companies to work with, we can’t wait to get started on our first kick off campaigns.

Lastly, it’s been a brilliant month for Lottoland UK, which has made it into the Guinness World Records for the largest online gambling pay out – a whopping €90 million that was claimed by a very lucky cleaner from Berlin! With coverage in everything from Yahoo to the Daily Mirror, there are tons of ways that you can read about this incredible win.

And now it’s back to the grind for us at FD, until next time lovely readers!
