Happy Halloween folks! Far from anything scary, it’s been a season of awards for us this month, and we’ve been celebrating some great nominations, shortlists and wins for our lovely clients.

Insurance comparison site, ActiveQuote, has had a brilliant month having made the Wales Fast Growth 50 (for the fourth year running!), and even scooping up a Sustainable Growth Award to boot. On top of that, Comparison Creator CEO, Steve Jones, has been shortlisted for Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year at the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards, and Front Door client Paperclip was shortlisted for the SME Wales Business Awards this year. Congratulations all!

We’ve also been helping Welsh Gymnastics get ready for their annual awards evening next month. The Welsh Gymnastics Awards 2017 will be held in Cardiff this November, and we’ve been hard at work making sure that the shortlists are ready and the evening goes off without a hitch. It’s all the more exciting knowing that once the Awards have been celebrated in style, the countdown to Commonwealth 2018 begins!

But the awards fun doesn’t stop there – we’ve also been celebrating all things entrepreneurial at the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards celebration evening in Cardiff this month. The event was a great opportunity for each of the shortlisted businesses to meet fellow entrepreneurs, have a chat with judges and sponsors, and listen to some inspiring talks by past winners.

With the first Awards gala kicking off at Holland House Hotel on the 1st November, we’re very excited to go along and cheer on the winners!

In tech news, facial recognition app Credas has had a stellar month, with some great coverage on its efforts to battle modern slavery and money laundering. You can read more about how Credas speeds up and simplifies the ID verification process in the Western Mail, Construction Global and Fenestra Build this month, and you might have caught Credas CEO, Rhys David, discussing modern slavery on BBC Radio Wales!

We’ve also been giving a helping hand to our work neighbours, Wealthify, who have had some very exciting news to share. This October has seen the UK’s largest insurer, Aviva, taking a majority stake in Wealthify, and we’ve had the pleasure of supporting them in their PR efforts during the announcement period.

Another massive congratulations to the team over at Wealthify on an amazing achievement!

Well, that’s it from us. Make sure you tune in next month for more news on what we’ve been up to at Front Door HQ. Until next time, faithful readers.
