It’s been a while since we last updated on the goings on at Front Door Comms HQ – typically for a bustling marketing agency, we’ve been so busy writing for other businesses, we’ve had very little time to write our own content. Rather shame-facedly, we have to admit that this is our very first update for 2022… shocking!

What's new at FD Comms?
Since we last spoke, there’s been a lot going on: we turned five years old, we have recruited two new faces to the team, taken in an office dog and scooped up a number of new clients.
And another part of the reason for the radio silence has to be down to things getting back to ‘normal’ after all the lockdowns and work from home missives. Now that restrictions have lifted, we’re busy lunching, awarding, training and generally getting out and about more, which is wonderful, particularly for us PR folk, who love a face-to-face chat.
New projects and renewed partnerships
In terms of client activity, there’s been a lot of excitement – particularly around existing clients that have chosen to stick with us for another year. Both Green Man Festival and Christmas at Bute Park have asked us to help support their 2022 events, which we’re hugely excited about. As well as getting to work on some cool events – it’s the 20th anniversary for Green Man this year so it’s a biggie – it’s always a great feeling when clients want to continue working with you.
We’ve also picked up an exciting new client in the form of Acro, one of the UK's leading and fastest-growing manufacturers of passenger seats for commercial airlines around the world. FD Comms will be helping the team at Acro prepare for the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg next month, where they’ll be debuting an exciting new seat. The aircraft interiors industry is new to us – and some might say that with this new client, FD Comms has really taken off.
We’ve also been continuing to help comparison site GoCompare with its PR and social media – and with the cost-of-living crisis hitting everyone’s pockets in 2022, using services such as GoCompare has become more important than ever, so raising awareness of the savings that could be made on peoples’ bills has been a great campaign to be involved with.
New guides and content
On the FD Comms blog, we may not have been writing so much about ourselves, but we have been writing some handy social media guides, covering everything from the best and worst platforms, to how to measure your success.
Not-so-new people
This month, we’ve also welcomed back the wonderful Beth Rees, who’s returning from maternity leave and is back to make the team complete. Welcome back Beth – we’ve missed you!
That’s all, folks
We’ll leave it there for this edition of Ding Dong, as, like the rest of the UK, we’re off to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee by wrapping oneself in bunting while supping on a glass of bubbles and eating our own bodyweight in Victoria Sponge… or is that just us?
