It’s that time again! We’re treating you to an insight into all things Front Door in the form of our much-anticipated monthly ding dong.
You might notice a distinct lack of ding dong in the past couple of months, and for that we can only apologise. We know it’s been sorely missed. The FD team have been all hustle in recent weeks, but we’re back with a vengeance and here to fill the ding dong shaped hole left in your heart.
So, March has come and gone and with it the horrid cold weather (we hope!) but the new season brings a new employee to the Front Door fold. We’ll be announcing our newest recruit very soon, and we’re very excited to be growing to a team of FIVE after spending the past month interviewing some amazing candidates. Watch this space!
Also this month, we were lucky enough to attend the uber glamorous Cardiff Life Awards 2019 at City Hall, where Front Door was up for Creative Business of the year. Sadly, it wasn’t to be this time around but it was lovely to be let out of our PR cave for the evening and mix with Cardiff’s best and brightest.
On that note, huge congratulations are in order for fabulous client Credas, who were nominated for Business Service of the Year and only flipping won the thing! It’s been a stellar month for Credas, who not only came away with a Cardiff Life Award, but who also featured in Property Industry Eye, Recruitment Buzz and Accounting WEB for their research into all things compliance and fincrime.
Every year, one of the highlights of March is always International Women’s Day (8th), where we get to celebrate so many wonderful women, in and out of business. And this year did not disappoint, as we worked on not one but two events – for construction company Bouygues UK and recruitment firm Acorn.
Acorn filmed a fantastic piece for ITV Wales on women returning to work, while Bouygues UK held an event that encouraged young women to consider, enter and progress within the construction industry, which took place at Swansea College and included a talk with the Bake Off winner and architect Ruby Bhogal.
It’s also been an exciting month for Orbis Education and Care, which opened its first autism facility in England this March – Abbey Rose care and residential home, Tewkesbury. Abbey Rose welcomed in its first visitors at a special event attended by local residents, healthcare professionals and dignitaries including the Mayor of Tewskesbury Borough (as well as Front Door’s Kath!) and will now educate and home 30 children who have complex needs associated with autism.
And finally, big things have been happening for Welsh Gymnastics, who took on the British Artistic Championships with huge success this month, taking eight of the top ten spots in the all-around competition and winning gold in every individual apparatus contest. The story secured coverage in News from Wales, Wales 247, North Wales Business, the Wrexham Leader and Dai Sport, and we couldn’t be happier for the talented team at Welsh Gym. Congratulations all.
