In true Welsh fashion, the Front Door team spent August supporting our clients in the pursuit of both sport and song. From festival vibes to international rugby legends, you could say it’s all been to play for at FD HQ this month.
If music be the food of love then, firstly, let it be said the team here are bursting at the seams with delight following a successful Green Man Festival 2018. Our maiden outing as PRs for this much-loved and firmly established UK festival fixture, it was our job to provide on-site support for the full four days and we couldn’t have loved it more.
With an ITV Wales weather forecast broadcast live on location, and BBC Radio Wales reporting live from the field at Glanusk in Powys throughout, regional fans had the opportunity to stay up to date at all times.
Meanwhile, fellow FD client The Indigo Group marked its sponsorship of former Welsh rugby captain Sam Warburton in his testimonial year with a summer party at the Principality Stadium. Sam enjoyed a Q&A session with fellow former Welsh international Tom Shanklin, while donations for Velindre Cancer Centre raised £2500 as a cause close to the hearts of so many in Wales, the FD team included.
Our heartiest congratulations go to all the team at Indigo involved in making this very special event such a resounding success.
Also making noise this month, the Orbis Education Group got the opportunity to shout about its newest facility on the Welsh borders this August too. A year after Summergil House at Presteigne opened its doors to support children with complex needs associated with autism, The Hereford Times helped us celebrate a new life for this historic site with a beautifully laid out double page spread.
Elsewhere, our friends over at Solar Buddies have also been making hay while the sun is still (just about) shining after being shortlisted for not one, not two, but three separate accolades at the South Wales Business Awards 2018.
Taking place in November, the awards ceremony is just one of the many reasons we’re looking forward to what promises to be an action-packed Autumn, just as summer has been here at Front Door.
Between work and play, we’ve made some amazing memories and seen some stunning sights in the past few weeks, but we’re ready now to get the kids back to school and the newswires buzzing with a whole lot more news on behalf of all of our clients.
