2019 Round-up Ding-a-ling-a Ding Dong

As we sit down to write our New Year’s resolutions, we reflect on a year of change for Front Door Communications. We’ve been lucky enough to work on some lovely campaigns this year, from PR to social media, brand launches and event management, we’ve enjoyed it all! Here are some of our highlights from the year at FD HQ!

We leapt into spring as the PR agency chosen to launch new FinTech Wales… before dancing into summer with the vibrant Green Man festival... we then climbed into autumn with Bouygues’ Oculus staircase… and finally expanded into winter with the appointment our brand new Communications Executive, Annie Harding.

2019 kicked off with a celebration… of women, naturally. This year we raised the bar for International Women’s Day, as we worked on not one, but two events – for construction company Bouygues UK and recruitment firm Acorn.

Gaining momentum as the months rolled on, Front Door went on to help launch FinTech Wales in April. The organisation is a not-for-profit independent membership company set up to champion the FinTech and Financial Services industry in Wales. Now, we approach 2020 with a booming tech clientele.

As well as bringing the sun, August brought some fantastic coverage for our facial recognition client, Credas. CEO, Rhys David shone on SKY News as he was interviewed about facial recognition technology and why it’s a work in progress. Additionally, we were proud to work with ITV to cover the spectacle of the Green Man festival. We’re already gearing up for next year (note: more wellies next time).

Oculus staircase being installed at Cardiff Innovation Campus

Also climbing to the heights of our 2019 highlights, is the tremendous Oculus staircase, which our construction client, Bouygues, installed in Cardiff’s new Innovation Campus, in September. This huge project is the first of its kind in the UK and we look forward to seeing it completed in 2020.

There have been several wonderful new clients this year including the UK financial services group, Hodge. Front Door Communications has been appointed to support the organisation in promoting its niche lending products and it’s safe to say we are thrilled to be working with them.

The Front Door Communications team stood together

As the year comes to a close, there is no sign of business winding down. In the run up to Christmas we expanded the team to a fantastic five, with the appointment of Annie Harding as Communications Executive. Change must have been in the air, as we also proudly announced the re-brand of Henry Howard Finance , revealing its new name, Propel.

Finally, we must give mention to our proud moment of being shortlisted for a Wales Start Up Award. (New Year’s resolution: more fancy award evenings)!

Thanks to everyone who has been with us in 2019 and look forward to working with you in 2020!
