Paperclip is the online marketplace where users buy, sell, swap and give away second-hand goods. The platform was founded by Rich Woolley in 2015, who after finding success with two student businesses launched his own marketplace proposition that would allow users not only to save money but to connect with people nearby and with similar interests.
Three years later, Paperclip became a mainstay of the UK university space, enabling thousands of students to buy, sell and swap their goods and services together on campus. Since 2018, the Paperclip team have grown to work with over 150 universities nationwide who offer dedicated, white label shopping platforms for their students, including Oxford, Cardiff and University College London.
Paperclip appointed Front Door Comms as its PR agency in 2017, initially supporting with consumer campaigns to raise awareness of what was then a promising start-up, right through to its current standing as a market leader in the student space. Over the past three years, Front Door has assisted with the launch and publicity for Paperclip’s university proposition – both in the regional and national press – and continues to support with everything from investment news to product launches, building on Paperclip’s reputation and notability UK wide.All Clients
