Who is Front Door Communications?

Front Door Communications was set up in January 2017. Our mission is fairly simple; we want to provide a really great service for our clients and deliver real results.

Our Experience

Front Door Communications is an agency that was set up by an ex-BBC journalist and the former Head of Marketing for a well known comparison site. We specialise in PR (Public Relations), content creation, social media marketing and SEO support.

Front Door Communications was set up in 2017 by Kath Chadwick and Lynsey Walden. We are a small team and relatively new to the South Wales agency scene, but what we lack in age, we make up for in experience.

Kath Chadwick is a former producer for the BBC and produced the Wales at Work business programme for seven years. During her time at the BBC, she produced a range of programmes and has a huge amount of experience with the broadcast press. Prior to this, Kath was also a print journalist, working across a range of regional newspapers.

Following her time at the BBC, Kath also worked for the GoCompare press office and as part of her role there, she looked after the PR for all of its money products.

Lynsey Walden started with Gocompare in 2007 and was originally hired to set up the PR department. After running the PR department for several years, she went on to manage the digital marketing side of the business including the SEO, PPC and the content strategy for the GoCompare website.

Prior to this, Lynsey worked for Lloyds Bank in their PR department where she looked after their insurance products, and she also spent some time in London, Reading and Bristol working for various tech PR agencies.

Joining Kath and Lynsey in the Front Door Communications team are Beth Rees and Jess Childs.

Beth Rees has a background in publishing and print, working with Big Issue and Seren before moving on to independent book publishing. She spent four years working in book marketing across PR and digital, where she specialised in PPC, events and social media management. Beth joined Front Door Communications in 2017 and her specialist areas are social media management, SEO and website content.

Jess Childs is a qualified senior print journalist and agency-based PR Manager with a decade of industry experience working with nationally recognised public, private and third sector organisations. During this time, she has planned and executed numerous PR and social media campaigns, and written articles, blogs, features and tweets at a national, regional and local level.

At our core, the Front Door team are experts at storytelling – we know how to find the story in your business and we also use the best channel to get that story across to your customers.
